X-Hale Hookah

7211 Farnam Street

Omaha, NE

X-Hale Hookah is only 1 of 3 hookah bar/lounges in the Omaha area, being the areas only third hookah lounge I decided to go check it out for myself, and I gotta say...they have their PROS and CONS. They opened back in December of 2014, from my understanding. For only being open for going on a couple months, I have to say...they arent doing to bad.

As soon as I walked into X-Hale, I was greeted by the "owner" himself. He came off as super friendly, and that made me feel very welcomed to the new lounge. The girl woking the counter on the other hand, seemed very nervous when talking to her. It's not like I'm intimidating or anything haha. To me, I felt she must have been new to the customer service scene. I feel that she will get better with talking to the customers and helping them out in the future.

X-Hale Hookah has a very modern look to them. Unlike Taza Hookah Lounge or Hookah 402 in Omaha, NE if you've ever been to either one, they're not a nightclub (Taza) or just a massive amount of people at times (Hookah 402) [I will be doing reviews on them on at another time]. X-Hale Hookah has their retail on display throughout the lounge, putting them on absolute diplay for the customers to see. Their designs vary from KM (Khalil Mamoon) to other brands (unknown).

As I walked up to the counter I noticed some more of their retail on display for the customers to view. Some of this retail included:

  • 50g boxes of Al Fakher shishas

  • Vortex, egytian, and other bowls

  • Medwakh Dokha

To the left of the counter I saw more of there shishas for sale. Where the only have some of Al Fakher, Fumari, Starbuzz, and Fantasia availble for smoking, I noticed they also had Haze for sale. Not only did I see more shishas for sale, I noticed they had small glass jars with shishas in them and they were labeled. The point of these jars are for the customers to walk over and smell the shisha they (like myself) may be curious about. When I say, "like myself", I was curious about the Starbuzz flavor known as "Pink". I thought it smelled pretty good and actually ended up mixing Pink and Pirates Cave by Starbuzz. Turned out to be a great mixture with great thick clouds.

They only use KM hookahs but the styles were limited. Upon talking to the "owner", I was told they were recieving more styles of KM hookahs in an upcoming shipment. They fact that they would tell me this say to me, "we're comfortable with telling you about our future changes and coming products". Which is cool, its just makes me feel like they dont want to leave me in the dark.

Their coals on the other hand, kind of upset me. Not because the use the brand Coco Nara, I like them, it's the fact that they had black spot on the top of them (as seen below). They could use more time to properly cook the coals and try their best to not have the black spots, but that is only my opinion.

They keep their hookahs on the floor to prevent them from being pulled and falling off the table, which to me, is a smart idea. Nobody wants to pay 100+ dollars to replace and/or get a broken hookah. Hell, I wouldn't haha. It's a very calm and modern atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, the music is modern but at the same time not to loud nor to quiet.

Rating: 9/10

Comments: I give it the rating of 9/10 because of their cons. Understanding that they just opened a couple months ago...they do need some work. The hookahs are great, the staff is friendly, and I give 2 thumbs up to you X-Hale Hookah!
