Al Fakher Vanilla Shisha
So, while I'm still smoking the flavor, I've decided I'm going to review "Al Fakher Vanilla Shisha". This flavor of shisha is one of my all time favorite among the Al Fakher brand. It's not to sweet but at the same time, its not to bland.
I love how this brand will seal their shisha so well, even though I tend to dumb it into a tupperware container. It comes sealed in a resealable pouch sealed within a small "bucket". I feel like that really locks in the juices and flavor of their shishas.
Honestly though, going on about flavors, to me the flavor could be a little better. At times I feel like I'm not getting full enough flavor but hey, that could just be me.
Going into description, for those who've never smoked the brand, Al Fakher, it comes as a "red" shisha, and can be very sticky. I wouldn't recommend using your fingers to pack a bowl of this stuff. For me, I use a fork and just fluff it around like that. The more fluffed this shisha, the better. I feel that because it's so sticky, that when you dont fluff it, it will be harder to get a pull from it.
The shisha produces some thick clouds if down correctly. I use a phunnel bowl and usually go the 3 coal route, and occasionally even 4 coals...yes, I'm psychotic haha. The shisha lasts quite a while, and sometimes can be a huge pain to completely burn out, but that is something I do like.
What I don't like however is, occasionally I'll get a batch with clumps in it. Upon inspection, I believe that its just chunks of the "wet mix" that never got properly mixed in. I usually just break it down as well as I can or take it out, just depends on the person, right?
I'm from the Omaha, NE area, and this particular brand is pretty cheap around here. That is one of the main reasons I smoke it, beside liking the brand. All three hookah bars in the area have these available to smoke due to how popular it is.
Rating: 7/10
Comments: I feel like the brand has some room for improvement on this particular flavor, my hopes are though, that they go in the right direction if they ever try to change it a bit.
