Ayam Zaman, just the name makes me wonder where a name like this could have came from. When I was inspecting the shisha, I noticed it's very sticky and hard to break apart. The smell however, is a different story, it smells like black liquorice with some sort of spice or spices to it.

The look of the shisha reminds me of a deep colored dark brown loose leaf tobacco. The shisha started to smoke instantly. But, it seems to be on the stronger side, then again, that could be the spice tast that I can't seem to lay my finger on.

Though the shisha smells like a spicy black liquorice, it certainly doesn't taste like it. I can't seem to pin point the flavor however, but it does taste pretty good. The packaging seems to do well for itself also. The shisha is double bagged and sealed inside a unique tin. It keeps the shisha pretty fresh and that's a plus with me.

Rating 9/10

Besides the spice, I still can't seem to figure out the flavor. That being said, it's still a great shisha and I highly recommend it to those who haven't tried it yet. Though I do like the shisha, it's a bit strong for my preference.
